I've spent more than fifteen years working across commodities trading, financial markets, regulation and leadership, environments where understanding people, power, systems and competing interests matters. Alongside that, I've spent years exploring psychology, intuition, human behaviour and the parts of life that don't always lend themselves to a rational explanation. Salt+Gold brings those worlds together. I offer 75-minute, one-to-one conversations for people who want to explore something more deeply and make sense of what may not yet be coming together. You bring the experience, question or decision. I bring close attention, curiosity, questions, perspective and a willingness to challenge what doesn't quite add up. I won't pretend to know what your life should look like. But I won't simply listen and leave you to work everything out alone, either. We'll examine assumptions, follow connections, consider the circumstances around you and explore what might be influencing your experience. Sometimes that means bringing structure to something complicated. Sometimes it means questioning an explanation that has seemed obvious for years. There is room for seriousness, humour, contradiction and unexpected discoveries. The aim isn't to tell you what to do. Much of that work has involved navigating high-stakes decisions, questioning assumptions, understanding systems and observing how people exercise power within them. I've learned a great deal about ambition, authority, responsibility and the sometimes considerable distance between how things are supposed to work and how they actually do. Alongside that has been another kind of education. Motherhood. Years of therapy and inner exploration. Living through trauma and grief. Rebuilding parts of my life more than once. Learning about myself through psychology, intuition, relationships and experiences that don't always lend themselves to a logical explanation. I've never really seen these as separate worlds. The questions I ask about people, power and systems professionally aren't so different from the ones that interest me personally. Why do we do what we do? What shapes the choices we believe are available to us? How much of what we take for granted have we actually chosen? And what else might be possible? A work trip to Sydney a few years ago brought some of those questions into sharper focus. I found myself questioning the difference between building a successful life and actually wanting to inhabit it. Not because everything I'd built was wrong, or because I needed to abandon ambition, but because I was becoming more interested in what I wanted my life to contain, beyond the things I'd become very good at doing. That question still shapes how I live. Salt+Gold grew somewhere between these worlds. Out of an interest in how our inner lives, the systems we move through and the things that give our experiences meaning continually shape one another. I like structure and freedom in roughly equal measure. I enjoy a complicated question, an unexpected connection and a good challenge to something everyone seems to have accepted as obvious. I believe in therapy, intuition, my birth chart, my soul and spirit, vintage Chanel, good questions, a strategic plan, and the occasional spreadsheet (if I must). I'm a mother, an astrology student, a sunrise-and-ocean person, and someone who has absolutely mentioned Mercury retrograde in corporate meetings. I believe there's room for ambition and pleasure, seriousness and play, rational thinking and the things we can't always explain. I contain a few contradictions.
