Alongside that has been another kind of education: motherhood, years of therapy and inner work, living through trauma and grief, and rebuilding parts of my life more than once. My own experience has taught me that insight and change aren’t the same thing, that being capable of carrying something doesn’t always mean you should, and that the sensible answer isn’t always the true one. A work trip to Sydney a few years ago brought much of this into sharper focus. I began questioning the difference between building a successful life and actually wanting to inhabit it. That question still shapes the way I live and work. I bring curiosity, warmth and a fairly sharp eye for what isn’t quite adding up. I like structure and freedom in roughly equal measure. I believe in therapy, intuition, good questions and a the occasional spreadsheet. I’m a mother, an astrology student, a sun & ocean person, and someone who has absolutely mentioned Mercury retrograde in corporate meetings. I contain a few contradictions.
